*cue supposedly romantic music plays out of nowhere* I'm the type of person who get emotional rather a lot so, basically, while listening to music when working on stuffs, I can easily get carried away by it. So, I just listened to Mamo's "Passage" album this whole week and WAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH I just hate that I tend unconsciously relate the lyrics to children head-canon. Also not helping since I use Mamo as HCS for Phys, yeah. The "Thank You (reprise)" song is currently my favorite atm, replacing "Shadow gate to love" by Guilty Kiss. I just like the lyrics so much, truly, it gives me ideas to draw all sort of things related to it. *Update (7/30)* Okay. I did the thing. I draw ' all sort of things related to it.' that I said on first passage. Praise me. Sooooo, actually I wanted to draw Phys and His in completely different concept, with her walking past him, while him running to the other side, but, grabbing her wrist. But then, come to think of it now, maaan, why do I tend to draw Phys grabbing either His' hand or arm as if to drags her. Talking about lack of variation (laughs). But then, I listened to the song AND THE LYRICS HITS ME DEEP LIKE A TRUCK YO so yeah, that's it. Aaaactually, I wanted to draw them just like the trio on second picture, with their past self side-by-side, but nah, scrapped the idea. Tbh, I don't really like on how the effect turned out (I didn't think thoroughly, yeah), but I do like their close-up shots, so in the end, I cropped it, just like picture above. Then what's the point I draw them in panels ha haha ha sob As for the trio, actually I only planned to draw Chem and Phys, because they got new attire and I never draw them together despite being close and all (Heck, I never draw any other combination other than the male/female combos, come to think of it sad). But yeah, after listening to the song and there are some lyrics which are suitable for them, I decided to draw Math along, too. I always wanted to draw their past self! Glad thing that I could do so here. But since the attire is rather tentative as well as the colors, I decided to slam the sepia effect, HAHAHAHA. Oh well, it adds to feels too (shut up). And I'm also confused on how combining two pictures together, so I ended up with both version. The other one is posted on my PW! I.... actually wanted to ramble a lot about why I draw those but then, this is not SM main blog, and it would be major spoiler if I elaborate it so yeah, um. Really, I should stop using the fading/lighting/something effect because I used it rather a lot lately and it's getting boring. On the other topic, I'm so happy that I managed to clean up my idea box bit-by-bit! Hopefully I'm able to clear up the 'Others' section by September, so I can move into key visuals, yeah. Hnnnnnggghhh it feels so great having the list done~ Sometimes ago, I commissioned an artist named KIY0U and I was really pleased with her work! Her drawing is simple, but but it is beautifully executed, especially in the background so I'm kind of inspired by her. It's fun actually to draw simple bust-ups but playing with brushes or resources for the background! Usually I slam brushes and pattern for nonsensical things, but maybe I'll learn to arrange it as proper composition and stick with this kind of concept for a while.
